Who Am I

My name is Muhammad Shoaib Almas and i am currently a PhD. candidate at the Division of Electric Power Systems in the Royal Institute of Technology (KTH), Stockholm (Sweden). My research project is “Real-Time Wide-Area Control of FACTS and VSC-HVDC in Hybrid AC and DC Grids”. My professional experience includes substation automation and coordination of protective relays in Transmission & Distribution Grids. My research interests are Real-Time Simulation, Hardware-In-the-Loop testing and Power system protection control and automation.

I did my masters in Electric Power Engineering from KTH and my bachelors in Electrical Engineering from National University of Sciences and Technology (NUST) Pakistan.
